You Know You're Greek When...

-you respond to "re" or "mori"
-you are an adult and you are forced to be with your family at midnight on new years eve
-your grandmother has a miracle cure for everything you break an arm and your grandmother thinks your life is over.
-your mother (father) still feels the need to tell you "katse kala" in public
-you can dance kalamatiano, tsamiko, zebekiko without music
-you must name your children after your in-laws at a family gathering
-you call your cousin Maria and 5 other cousins turn around.
-you have the phrase "sto dialo"/"sto kalo sou" burned into your brain
-you have a bottle of OUZO in your house right now
-you know what a komboloi is
-you know how to work a komboloi
-you have been threatened to be eaten by the baboola/yero/pontiki
when you were little
-someone in your family owns any type of restaurant
-your family inheritance includes olive trees
-you've made a lot of money by singing the kalanda every christmas
-when your driving down a busy street you stop your car so you can scream out the window and -have a full conversation no matter how many cars are honking behind you
-you can't understand why McDonald's rejected your idea for the "McFeta" sandwich - "re tous vlakes!"
-olive oil is like a drug - you can't survive without it
-your cheeks receive their weekly work out every time you visit an aunt
-your last name consists of the entire alphabet
-you're home an hour late and
-you're already listed as a missing person
-you eat dinner after 10 p.m
-you complain that 25 degrees is too cold for summer pavements are seen as parking spaces
-you can’t understand how cities in other countries function without periptera
-recycling is still theoretical to you
